Turns out the dogs have a girlfriend. Our neighbors across the street have a beautiful dog (a pointer of some sort, I think - I'm terrible with dog breeds) and whenever she gets out of the house, she runs over here and races along the fence, while my two chase after her. She came back today and they all went nuts until her owner was able to come and get her. I don't mind, but I do worry a bit that she could get run over while crossing the street - we live on a very quiet street, but that means that occasionally people drive ridiculously fast here (something I'm starting to worry about already with Ronan!).
In other dog-related news, I was holding Ronan the other day and trying to get the dogs outside. Loki ran out, no problem, but Shadow was hesitating (he has a thing with stairs - they freak him out and sometimes he just can't bring himself to go outside). Anyway, I was calling him and he would run towards me and then skid to a stop, turn around and run back to the other end of the room and bark. Ronan thought it was the funniest thing in the world. He was laughing harder than I'd ever heard, aside from the times that Tom blows on his belly. It was cute, so I thought I'd share.
