Wildlife hates me (and other developments)

It's been a crazy couple of days here. Yesterday I was sitting in the living room, nursing, while the dogs slept next to us. All of a sudden, they jumped up, barking, and started running around the house. I initially assumed they just heard the neighbors, but it kept happening. So finally I followed them and found them in the bathroom, staring intently at the tub. I was a little afraid to look in there, but I didn't see anything. Then all of a sudden there was the sound of something trying to desperately get out behind the wall. It nearly scared me to death.

As near as I can figure, there's a bird or something trapped in there. I can't figure out how it got in and I don't know how to get it out. I plan on calling Orkin on Monday (we have an account with them because of the carpenter ants/termite issues we've had since we moved in) and hope that at the very least, they can figure out the point of entry. In the meantime, I'm slowly getting used to the noise. I thought it had died last night, since I didn't hear anything for a long long time. But no, first thing I was greeted by this morning was the rustling. So we'll see what happens.

In other news, Ronan is starting to learn to roll from his tummy onto his back. Huzzah! He's not very consistent at it yet - he'll do it a couple of times, but then get tired and start crying for someone else to roll him back. But it's cut down on the number of times I have to go in and turn him over when he goes to bed. He's sleeping on his stomach now most nights (though we still put him on his back to sleep). He's just growing so fast!

Today my niece Addison was dedicated at their church, so we went to that. It was very nice - the church was a lot different from ours - very energetic and a very young congregation. It reminded me a lot of the various retreats and camps I went to with my church growing up. Afterward, we went out to lunch. Ronan did very well for the most part, even though we'd been up since about 6:30 and had gone to the early service at our church (I'd been gone for a couple weeks and really missed it). He got a little fussy during at my sister-in-law's church, but after I rocked him for awhile, he fell asleep. Now he's in his swing, fighting sleep once again, although he really needs a long nap, as opposed to the 15 minute ones he's been taking while we drive around.
