Teething?

I'm beginning to think we're getting into the thick of teething. Ronan's been doing the drooling/chomping thing for awhile now. Nothing is safe - once he gets something in his hands, it goes straight into his mouth and is gnawed on fiercely. He seems to prefer fingers, especially mine and Tom's.

He also may be getting close to crawling. Whenever we put him on the floor, he starts rolling onto his tummy and trying to move. Lately, when I check on him at night, he's sleeping on his belly with his butt up in the air and his legs tucked under him, as though he started to push himself up onto all fours, but then got tired and fell asleep instead. I'm not sure I'm ready for him to be crawling. He's growing so quickly. In another month we'll start solids, another milestone I'm not quite ready for. In many ways, it's nice to know that he can't go anywhere without help. Once he's crawling, I know I won't be able to turn around for a second. Plus, we really need to start baby-proofing the house.
