Well, I was having mixed feelings about going back to work on Tuesday. On the one hand, we really needed a second income, limited though it would be. On the other hand, we were both nervous about Tom having to give up sleep in order to watch him and I wasn't sure how we'd do with me being gone for 8 hours at a time.
All that has been resolved though. Today I got a call from my supervisor saying there had been a change in plans. The senior vp of our department decided that, due to the layoffs back in January, they couldn't bring me back. So now I'm home until school starts in September. I think we'll be ok, money-wise, in the meantime. We'll just be living very frugally. It's a little disappointing, but I'm ok.
In other news, my uncle Tom and his family came and visited us for a little while tonight. It was a lot of fun and great to see everyone. The kids were great and very sweet. they "read" to Ronan, brushed his hair, gave him toys, etc. Definitely put me in a good mood
