Not a whole lot is going on here at the moment, but I know I like to see new posts on the blogs I visit, so I feel like I should write something as I sit here watching it snow.
It was my birthday on Saturday - I turned 27. Tom had to work this weekend, so we're going to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate that and our anniversary. We'll just bring Ronan along - much easier than trying to deal with babysitting, especially since he still isn't a fan of the bottle (unless I'm the one giving it to him, which of course if I'm there, it's a whole lot easier to just nurse). I feel very fortunate that he's a pretty easy-going baby so we can take him places and not have to worry too much about him screaming or crying. I'm still trying to get used to nursing in public - it doesn't bother me, but I know other people can be uncomfortable with it, and I hate to do that. On the other hand, when the alternative is a screaming baby, I think most people would choose slight embarrassment (and I put a blanket over us and everything - it's not like I'm flashing the world). But thankfully, he's starting to go slightly longer between feedings, so that helps.
Oh, in other news, he's slept through the night twice now again. I'm not sure if this will be a permanent thing (he's tricked us before with this), but I fully enjoy it when it happens. He's currently napping in his car seat - I had to go up to school today to drop off some paperwork. He was awake and happy and smiling at people at first, but right before we left he started fussing and crying. I figured that he was hungry and once we got home, we could nurse. However, he fell asleep in the car and has just stayed asleep. I washed the dishes, ate lunch myself, and now am wondering if I should break that cardinal rule of never waking a sleeping child. I just get uncomfortable having him sleep in his car seat for a long time. But on the other hand, it does let me get things done.
Well, that's about all the news from Lake Woebegone. (haha)
Oh, I almost forgot. If you're interested, I have yet another website where I can post the little videos I take with my camera. You can see them here: http://www.dropshots.com/djenison (for some reason, this won't show up as a link, so just copy and paste the address or click on the link on the right, under my picture)
It's not the most exciting stuff ever, but at least then you can hear and see him. :)
