So congrats to the boy voters. You win the satisfaction of being right. :)
Although initially, it seemed as though "girl" was going to be the right call - the technician originally didn't see anything and told us we were having a girl. Right as that sunk in, the baby moved again and showed us that he was in fact a boy. We got a ton of pictures, which I'm going to attempt to post along the side here. It was pretty amazing all the stuff we got to see, like the spine and his little heart pumping away. They also did this cool thing where they were able to add color to show the blood flowing in and out of the umbilical cord.
As far as stats, apparently the baby weighs 13 ounces (although I don't know how they figure that out - I'll have to see if Tom knows) and the heart beat was around 144. Since they didn't tell us otherwise, it looks like the due date is still Feb. 2 and everything looks good and healthy. He was swimming away in there, bending his legs over his head and showing us pretty much everything we needed to see. The tech said he was being very cooperative. I told her I hoped that trait would continue once he's out of the womb, but Tom said that if the baby's anything like him, it wouldn't. :)
