Potty successes

I really should be writing a paper, but I wanted to share. Ronan's been super interested in the potty lately, which is great. He's very skilled at getting his clothes and diaper off, which is a plus and a minus. If I'm not watching him, he'll whip everything off and next thing I know, he's pooped on the carpet. We have a little plastic potty for him, but he's not interested in it at all. But lately, he's been using the little potty as a step stool to the big potty. He loves to sit on the potty and flush it, but so far, no success in getting him to actually pee or poop in it.

Yesterday at daycare, though, he went to the bathroom all by himself and peed in the potty! They said he's been taking his pants off a lot there too and often sits on the potty, but this was the first time he went.

Then today, he woke up from his nap and started saying "pee, pee!" So I went to change him (thinking he meant he had a wet diaper), but he was completely dry. So I put him down and he ran to the bathroom, climbed up and sat on the potty. At first, nothing, but then he stood up on his little potty and started peeing into the big one! I was so impressed and he thought it was hilarious.

So that was definitely a highlight. Of course this evening, he ended up getting his sleeper off and peeing on the living room floor, but hey, we're making progress!

Ok, back to work.
