Parent visit

My parents came to visit over Veterans' Day weekend, which was a lot of fun. It was so good to see them and Ronan had an absolute blast playing with Grandma and Grandpa. They certainly kept him busy and wore him out. I wish it could have been a longer trip, but Tom, Ronan, and I will be heading up there in January, which is not that far away (as scary as that seems).

Overall, things are going pretty well here. I took Ronan to get his ears checked this morning. I've been a little nervous about the fact that he's talking up a storm, but is nearly impossible to understand. Thankfully though his ear look great and the doctor said that as long as it seems like he can understand us (which he certainly can), he wouldn't worry about it.

It's so fun to watch Ronan play these days. He loves to build towers, especially with his legos (but cans too if he can get them out of the pantry). He also loves to do somersaults, which he learned how to do a few months ago. He still needs to work on making sure there's nothing in front of him before he starts, but he's really good at them. And as always, he continues climbing and jumping on everything he can.

He's also started to copy me a lot. If my hair dryer is out, he'll pick it up and hold it up to his head. He also got a hold of deodorant while I was unloading groceries - he took the cap off, lifted his shirt, and started trying to put it on his belly (luckily, since it was brand new, he hadn't taken off the little protective thing). He's also figured out how to get his shoes on, although it still takes him awhile. Of course, he's stubborn (no idea where he got that from!) and wants to do it himself now all the time. Makes it a little more frustrating in the morning when it's time to go, but he's getting better.

Well, I should get to work now that it seems Ronan's asleep. I'll try to get better about updating. If nothing else, the semester ends in Dec. and maybe I'll have some time then. :)
