Things have been kind of crazy, but going well. Ronan seems to be almost completely better. He still has a bit of a cough, which gets especially bad at night, but he's on the mend. Tom and I both ended up getting a version of it as well. Mine went quickly, but Tom's still fighting it.
Meanwhile, school's definitely keeping me busy. It's funny - when I was doing the MA program, I would spend most of my days reading and taking notes and everything else and I always felt as though I was way behind. Now I'm restricted to reading during nap times and after Ronan goes to bed. I'm not reading as closely as I used to, but so far, I'm managing to keep my head above water. The real trick will be when I have to start doing research and writing. I'm thinking I'll have to add at least another day of daycare, or get someone to watch him for a day each week next semester. I'm also thinking that next academic year, I can hopefully switch him to the on-campus daycare (they don't accept babies under 18 months). That would cut down a lot of my driving time and make things easier. But until then, we're making do. Oh, and in the good news department, I learned that I passed my foreign language exam. Hooray! One obstacle down.
In other news, I decided today to try taking Ronan and the dogs for a walk down our street. I was going to try to put Ronan in a carrier, but I didn't feel comfortable enough with that, so I put him in his stroller and then pushed that with one hand and held the dogs' leashes in the other. It wasn't terrible - I accidentally hit Shadow a couple of times with the stroller when he'd walk in front of it and then suddenly stop. But it was difficult, especially since the dogs kept getting tangled up in their leashes. So I don't think I'll do that again. I just feel terrible, because I haven't been able to walk the dogs much lately - I think it's been two weeks now since I took them to the lake. I'm hoping to figure out a new schedule, but so far I have nothing. Oh well, it'll come with time.
