Well, it's 7:30 p.m. on Halloween and we've so far had zero kids. Good thing I bought a lot of candy! There's a caravan slowly making their way down the street, so it looks like we'll get some kids, but not a lot.
However, it's a bit weird - there's a caravan of about three cars driving the kids from door to door. We live on a dead-end street in a very quiet neighboorhood. I'm not sure why they can't walk up and down the street. Although we did just have an ambulance and police car come flying down the road, so who knows (although the kids were probably at a bigger risk of being hit while in the car by the ambulance than if they were walking up by the doors). We also have a time limit for trick-or-treating (6-8 p.m.), which also is kind of odd to me. I was never aware of any regulated day/time for trick-or-treating, but some neighborhoods around here did their trick-or-treating last Saturday, during the day. Doesn't seem quite right to me. But then again, I'm a bit set in my ways at time. :)
Well, hopefully the caravan will be here soon and I can give out some candy. Then I guess I'll just have to eat whatever's left over. Shucks. :)
