Can you believe how fast it's gone? Ronan turned six months yesterday and today we went for his checkup. Things went pretty well, although he fussed and cried through most of the appointment. As for the stats he's:
17lbs, 13 oz. (53%)
27.25 inches (75%) and
17 and 1/8 inches for head circumference (40%)
So not too bad there. :) The doctor also suggested we start trying to phase out night feedings, which shouldn't be too big an issue since Ronan currently only wakes up once a night (if that) to nurse. The main reason for the phase-out is because once he gets teeth, we'll have to start brushing them before putting him back to sleep if he nurses. I'm also supposed to start really working on breaking the eat-to-sleep system, which I've known I probably should do for awhile, but just haven't gotten around to doing it.
Aside from that though, things are looking good. He did ok with the shots, although he wasn't happy with them. The other thing I really need to work on now is figuring out what I'm going to do for daycare once school starts again. I'm looking at a couple of places, but I really need to sit down and schedule visits and the like. Plus, we're working hard now on getting him to take bottles again, but so far it isn't working. He can be a really stubborn baby at times - I have no idea where he could have gotten that. :)
