Just a quick post to say I miss my Ronan!  Tomorrow's the two week mark since he left; this is by far the longest time we've been apart.  Hopefully he'll be home on Sunday (they should leave on Saturday, but that is somewhat dependent on when Tom's aunt and uncle arrive at the house - there isn't enough room for everyone coming back in the car, so Tom's cousin will stay with his folks down there for a vacation that doesn't include 5 little kids). I'm very excited for him to get back.  It sounds like he's been having an amazing time though. 

I talked to him briefly via Facetime the other night.  It looked like he was going to start crying when we started, but he pulled it back together, especially when I put Tom on the phone too and told Ronan to call him silly.  Nothing like teasing dad to get a laugh!

Meanwhile, things are going fairly well here.  I'm trying to get syllabi written for each of my classes in the fall, finish up my research, and keep the house in some semblance of order (that's a losing battle). It's been incredibly hot and humid here the past few days, so we've been cooped up a lot.  The weather should break around Friday, so hopefully we'll do more outdoors stuff then.  I've been disappointed - at the end of last month, I finally started getting in the habit of taking the dogs for a long walk at this new trail by our house.  It was great exercise for me and them and I was determined to keep it up.  Then we had two weeks of rain, and now this heat would make them miserable. But hopefully I can start up again this weekend.
