I'm thinking of putting this post on paper and sticking it in a bottle. It's been raining every day for the last 16 days here. It's crazy. Today, we had some huge storms go through. I went down to check our basement (which had flooded a week or two ago) and discovered that despite our concrete lifting solution, water was coming up through the floor. On the plus side, since we'd moved almost everything out after the last flood, there wasn't as many things in there to worry about. But it's just frustrating to see the problem return. We'll make some calls tomorrow and see what we can figure out. Part of the issue might just be the fact that the ground is so overly saturated there's no where else for the water to go. But we'll have to figure it out. Alas.
In other news, Ronan left July 5 for Gulf Shores, AL with my mother-in-law and four of his cousins. It sounds like they're having a great time. I miss him, but I'll admit that it is nice to be able to sleep in occasionally! Tristan is much more of night owl than early bird, so our sleep schedules line up a lot better. Ronan should be back in about 10 more days. It seems like forever, but I'm sure it'll fly by.
