6 Month Check-up

I'm a bit late, but we had Tristan's six month check up last week.  He's doing great - 21 lbs and 27 inches, putting him in the 95 and 75 percentiles, respectively.  The doctor was happy to see him sitting up on his own and said he was doing a great job with that.  Tristan also got a series of shots, which he was not a fan of.  But as soon as I brought him out to the lobby and he saw the receptionist, he was suddenly all smiles.  He definitely is a ladies man!

Tristan is also rolling over from his stomach now too, and he's grown another tooth.  So we have two teeth at the moment, but I'm sure we'll have more soon.  His new favorite thing is for me to help him stand next to our coffee table so he can chew on the metal edges.  His sleep is getting a bit better though, so that's helpful.

Ronan's doing well too.  He's so much fun to watch with other kids.  When we go to the zoo or the playground, he quickly makes friends with whoever's there.  He then just calls them "friend" and I love watching him run around, yelling, "Hey friend!  Friend!  Let's go on the slide!  Let's climb up here!" or whatever else.  Ronan also continues to be an awesome big brother, sharing toys, singing to Tristan if he's crying, making him laugh.

Ronan's also started to join me in story/singing time at night.  For his bedtime routine, I usually read Goodnight Moon and then sing You Are My Sunshine.  The past few nights, Ronan's tried to read along (he's memorized parts of it) and then things with me.  It's so sweet.  The first time he sang, I nearly cried.  I have some pretty wonderful boys.
