Trying to keep it together

The semester is now in full swing. For one glorious week, I was actually ahead. Then last night, I was trying to cram in 300+ pages about 19th century politics before finally giving up around 1. (I technically got through it all, but there was a lot of "grad reading" going on.) So yeah, I'm back in the saddle again. I'm enjoying it, for the most part, but it's also stressful trying to cram everything in. The other day, for example, Ronan actually took a 2 hour nap, which rarely happens for me. I sat down to read, opened the book, got about five pages in and then promptly fell asleep and napped the rest of the time. It was a nice nap, but that's part of the reason I was trying to cram so much into last night.

On Saturday night, Ronan and I went over to my in-laws for a nice evening together. It was a lot of fun to watch Ronan play with all of his cousins. There are currently 5 (soon to be six!), including Ronan, all under the age of five. It's really cool to see the differences but also watch now as Ronan is getting more into playing around other kids (I wouldn't say he plays with them yet, but he's getting there). I like having those opportunities. It's also why I'm glad Ronan is in daycare too - it gives him the chance to interact with other kids around his age, and I think they learn a lot from that.

Anyway, it's almost time for class, so I should run. Just thought I'd throw in a periodic update from time to time so you know I'm still here.
