Last night was weird. Ronan went to bed around 7:30, which is around his usual time (his bedtime is anywhere between 7:30-8:30). Went down with out a problem, I went to bed, and Tom was home so I didn't bother to turn on the monitor. Well, just before 4 a.m., Tom came in and woke me up because he could not get Ronan to go back to sleep. He changed him, gave him a bottle, rocked him, etc. and nothing was working. So I walked in and Ronan immediately curled up and was quiet. But as soon as I walked back out, he started crying again. Went back in, picked him up and sat down on the chair with him, figuring I could just hold him until he calmed down. The second Tom walked out of the room though, Ronan bolted up and started calling for him, then started squirming like crazy, so I put him down. He ran to the door, opened it, and ran out into the hall. He was wide awake, and started chasing the dogs around. Tom told me to just go back to bed and he'd watch Ronan, thinking he'd just wear himself out.
Well, when I got up this morning, Tom said that despite Ronan running around almost non-stop, he hadn't shown any sign of winding down nearly two hours later. He ended up giving him some of the liquid Zyrtec we had for his constant stuffy nose and that finally knocked him out, although he was back up two hours later.
Not sure what caused all of that - it's never happened before. Hopefully, we won't get a repeat tonight. Tom's working and I'm definitely not spending a couple hours chasing him around.
