Hooray for nice weather! It has been sunny and in the 50s and near 60 for most of the week and I love it. I enjoy winter in its season, but spring is definitely my favorite and by March, I'm ready for it.
Yesterday, I ended up having a semi-free day, so I took Ronan to the lake for a walk. Of course, the whole time we were there it was cloudy (the sun came out just as I parked the car in the driveway), but we had a lot of fun. Ronan is getting to be an excellent walker and he loved being at the lake. Sometimes he would hold my hand, other times he'd walk out in front of me. But his favorite thing by far was to stop and pick up every leaf he saw and then give it to me. I of course was expected to hold on to them; should one fall, he would patiently go after it and bring it back. This made walking a lot slower, but it was fun. And leaves were a lot better than picking up dog and/or geese poop which could have been an option as well.
Then last night I ended up having to bring him to class with me. I wasn't sure how it was going to go - it's a two and a half hour class (roughly), starting at 6:15 (Ronan's bedtime is usually around 7). I packed enough toys, food, water, bottles, etc. for a transatlantic journey and hoped for the best. He actually did quite well. He played with his toys and walked around the room a bit. After about an hour and a half though, he started getting tired/excited and he'd walk to the other side of the table from me and then start giving his happy shrieks. People where very understanding (including the professor), so in the end, it worked well.
Anyway, that's about all for now.
