Today was a doctor visit day for both Ronan and me. Mine was just a blood pressure check - it was down (hooray!) so I don't have to go back for another two weeks to do the postpartum visit and check on my stitches.
Ronan's visit went very well. He's now 7lbs, 3 oz., up from 6lbs 5 oz a week ago. That means he gained an average of about 2 ounces a day, which apparently is above normal. The doctor was impressed and said that we should try to make sure that there's at least 2 hours between feedings now. That was kind of a relief to hear, because lately Ronan's been wanting to eat every hour or so, although not for very long. It's not easy distracting him for that last half hour or so, but it's nice to have a good solid feeding session after that. Everything else looked good and he has two weeks now before his next appointment as well.
He's two weeks old today. Monday was his actual due date, which was kind of hard to believe. These past two weeks have been great and I've been really happy. I had been so nervous about being induced and having him come early, but thankfully, everything worked out and he's doing great. Tomorrow my dad comes to visit and my brother and sister-in-law are hopefully coming this weekend. I can't wait for everyone to meet Ronan!
