I've gotten to the point now in my pregnancy where I'm technically supposed to be seeing the doctor every other week. However, I've now gone in three weeks in a row, and twice this week. Luckily, everything's ok, but we've had to do some checks.
The main problem has been my blood pressure. For the past couple of appointments (starting before Thanksgiving) it was creeping upwards and my doctors were beginning to get a bit concerned. They said that once it went over 140/90, we'd need to talk about other steps. The week after Thanksgiving, my blood pressure was 144/80, so obviously getting pretty close to that cut-off point. After that, I started having Tom take my blood pressure at home. The doctor wanted me to come back the next week to get it checked, so I made sure to keep a chart and bring it in. It was completely normal at home and then when I went in on Tuesday, it was normal at the doctor's office too. Phew. :)
Then today I had an ultra-sound to check and see how the baby was growing. Everything looks good, he's still a boy, and apparently he has hair! They estimate he weighs about 4lbs. The only thing of concern was that my fluid levels appeared in the low range of normal, so they're going to double check at my next appointment. My doctor didn't seem too worried about it - she said that can happen because of how the baby is laying.
I've also finished childbirth class. Our last class was at the hospital and I was excited to see the L&D room - it was pretty nice and comfy looking. And one of the rooms has a labor tub, which is cool - I hope to get that room, since I want to at least try to go without drugs. We'll have to see though.
