We just got back from our four month check up and things are going very well. First, let's do the numbers (as they say on Marketplace):
Weight: 14lbs, 14oz (50%ile)
Length: 26.5 inches (92%ile)
Head circ: 16 3/8 inches (40%ile)
As you can see, he's looking like a long/tall baby. The doctor was a bit surprised. He got out the tape measure and was guessing he'd be 25 inches. Then he went "Holy moly, he's 26 and a half!" Everything else is looking good and he was declared the picture of health. The doctor was impressed that he's sleeping through the night and everything else.
Then of course it was time for the shots. I was kind of dreading it, but it ended up going a lot better than last time. First he gave him the liquid one (I think that's for Roto virus) and he drank that very well and was still smiling and happy. But as soon as he finished it, and the doctor started to get the needles ready, you could see his face fall and he started fussing. It was almost as if he remembered that last time they gave him the sweet stuff and then started jabbing him. He still cried with the shots, but not nearly has hard as he did for the last one. So hopefully that trend will continue.
Overall, it was a good visit and now we're ready to make our trip to MN in a couple weeks!
